Quezon Memorial Park in Baler
If you’re visiting Baler, one place you shouldn’t miss is the Quezon Memorial Park. This park was built to honor and remember the late President Manuel L. Quezon, the “Father of the National Language.”
I visited the park on November 8, 2025, just a few days before Typhoon Uwan arrived. Here’s the short video I made during my visit
The park is located in Poblacion, Baler, Aurora, and was built in honor of President Quezon, who was actually born here in Baler.

It’s a peaceful spot surrounded by trees and beautiful landscaping that gives off a calm and positive vibe. There are benches where you can sit and relax, a small playground for kids, and right at the center stands a statue of President Quezon, a perfect spot for photos. You can also find the Museo de Baler inside the park, where you’ll see artifacts and displays about the town’s rich history. Definitely worth checking out if you love learning about local heritage.

I went there around 3 PM. You could hear the birds, the rustling trees, and even though it’s right in the middle of town, you can still feel the fresh air.

As someone who grew up in Baler, this park holds a lot of my childhood memories. When I was a kid, I used to play here with my friends on the old swing, seesaw, and slide. And during college, we’d often practice our group dances here, it was our go-to open space for everything.
The Quezon Memorial Park is open to the public and free of charge. It’s just a few minutes away from the Baler Municipal Plaza and Baler Church, so it’s very easy to visit.Whether you’re into history or just looking for a quiet place to unwind, Quezon Memorial Park is definitely worth the stop.
